spontaneous

as much as i'd love to say i'm a fun and spontaneous person, the truth is that i'm really a bit of a fuddy-dudd when it comes to spontaneity. i like to plan ahead, look forward to things, ponder and weigh out my choices before jumping into something. which is why you may be as surprised as i am that i booked an airline ticket last night to go to kansas city, mo tomorrow morning.

many of my peeps from 24-7uk and 24-7usa are converging on kc this weekend to officially kick off the usa boiler room. my friend kathleen flew out wednesday, and i really wanted to go but didn't think i could pull it off. somehow i found a ticket and i'm going.



i'm really excited about seeing everyone again, but the excitement might be a bit dampened when my alarm goes off at 2:55 tomorrow morning. i have to be on the lightrail at 4 to be at the airport before 5 so i can get my 6:30 flight. part of me thinks the other part of me is crazy for doing this, but i really think some good things will come of taking a weekend to strengthen relationships. i also want God to speak to me about some specific things, and i'm looking forward to the time outside my daily routine to sit and listen to what He wants to say.
