lately
There is much I could say, but it all really boils down to the fact that I'm starting to feel at home here. There's lots to do with regard to my volunteering, and there is plenty of adjustment and transition still to work through, but overall I'm feel less and less "different" than the people around me. As my buddy Pete would say, it's sure better than a slap in the face with a wet fish. Gotta love those quaint English sayings.
Yesterday I took part in a 24-7 gathering of staff that takes place somewhat regularly. It was good to put faces to some of the names I've been seeing around. It was great to pray together and to feel like I was connecting just even that little bit more. This weekend I'll be going with some of the Reading crew to Gloucester to drop in on the budding 24-7 community there. I look forward to many more of these gatherings and meetings in the coming months. It's good to be here.
