one week

the weather changed last week, forcing me to take much longer walking to work. i just can't stroll through the heart of downtown on a beautiful sunny morning without taking pictures. i've been waiting months for the right lighting to capture what i love about the old guild theater. this week i finally got it.

i woke up (late) this morning feeling very content. it's been incredibly cold the last few days, but clear and beautifully sunny. it's been around 25ºf, with the wind chill around 10ºf. i can't remember it ever being this cold here without snow and ice. it's a lovely change. as i lounged on my bed this morning in a toasty patch of sunlight i thanked God for the one morning a week i don't have to wake up to an alarm.

life's pretty busy for me right now, and only getting busier. that's not a bad thing, though. my new position at work is really great. i'm enjoying my new tasks and the fact that i'm in constant contact with all the travel consultants in the call center. there were so many new-hires who's names i didn't know even as little as two weeks ago. and the days go so quick! i'm getting plenty of overtime, which looks quite pretty on my paycheck.

i've moved desks and now sit by the crazy kiwi. he cracks me up constantly, and we've amused ourselves this week with the back of the deutsche bahn manual...

german is so amusing when you don't understand it.

thursday night kathleen and i drug renee to sushiville for her first sushi experience. i love sushiville, and they have the best 80's music playing all the time. kt wanted photographic proof she was there...

and that, my friends, was my week.

Nice pic - very reminicent of your 'Portland' sign picture, methinks...

...mmmm, sushi. We seem to have those little conveyor bars springing up all over the place here at the mo. I love the graphic design used in the logo of one of the main bars - http://www.yosushi.co.uk - cool, huh? I'm more of a Tapanaki (sp?) fan than sushi, but its all good!
